SKETCH IT !
Hi everyone around the world! welcome back with "Reading Journey With Sonson". So in this blog I will show you my hand drawing about one of my favorite scenes on a book entitled "The Canterville Ghost" by Oscar Wilde. This book contains 4175 words and 16 pages in total. This story will you find at B1 pre-intermediate level on English E-Reader site.
"The Canterville Ghost" is a story about a famous ghost that lived in Canterville castle for hundreds of years. At first, he always succeeds at made people scared for many generations there. Then a new family from America is moved to the castle. When they moved, they saw a bloodstain on the floor inside a library. Later they knew that the bloodstain belonged to the ghost wife that was killed by him. So the children from the family cleaned the bloodstain but it always reappearing again, in the next morning with a different color for each day. The ghost tried to scare the family, but it always failed because they don't terrify by the ghost. After tried continuously the ghost is surrender to his condition, but the daughter of the family helps him to go to the garden of sleep(death).
And now I will show you my horrible draw 😂.
The scene above is when the ghost told Virginia the girl that he wants to go to the garden of sleep, but the girl is very sad because she pitied the ghost for can not make the girl's family scared. Virginia is upset that her family members don't respect the ghost efforts. Also, she is sad because of the fact that ghosts died starved until dead in the secret basement room.
Personally, I choose this moment because I like how naivete Virginia is, she can respect the ghost's effort even she let the ghost used her paint to repainted the bloodstain inside the library every morning. Also how she helps the ghost reach the garden of death touch my heart.
I think that is all from me for now, let's meet in the future! Stay safe and healthy everyone 💖.
